Araceli García
Plastic artist
Araceli García (1985) is a visual artist from Granada, Spain. After spending her entire life painting, she discovered in art a way to reflect the connections that exist between human beings and nature. Supported by other art forms, she finds links between poetry, dance, and cinema to enrich her visual art.
Her training as an artist is very comprehensive, ranging from visual art as her main source to video creation. In parallel, she develops a training plan titled “On the Spiritual in Art,” investigating the artistic process as a healing process, with a vision that goes beyond art therapy.
Hence, she always seeks to integrate painting with a symbolic story that tells the message to be conveyed.
Under this premise, she embarks on her path around fashion in the creation of accessories under the concept of wearable art. Since 2016, she has integrated her expressionist painting with the fashion world to bring art to other mediums. She develops the idea that art is alive by making it coexist with people and defends the idea of taking art out of the four walls to carry it with you, in every garment, where people can enjoy it.
Her work is emotional, focused on large washes that resemble watercolor or Chinese ink. In her bags, brushstrokes run through seams, and the work becomes a 3-dimensional painting.
Araceli collaborates with fashion brands creating unique capsule collections, including the brand Avasan, with whom she has four collections on the market.
